Reiki Training in Nepal
Learn the art of Reiki energy healing through traditional attunements and supervised practice. Level 1, Level 2, and Master Level certification taught in the Usui lineage.
Reiki Training, the way it was passed down
Reiki is a hands-on practice for settling the nervous system. The practitioner rests their hands lightly on or just above the body, and the person receiving it usually feels warmth, a slow unclenching, and sleep that comes easier that night. You stay fully clothed. There is no massage, no pressure, no oil, and nothing is asked of you while you receive it.
It began in Japan in the 1920s with Mikao Usui, and it has been passed from teacher to student by attunement ever since, one hand to the next. We teach in that same Usui line, and your certificate names the teachers it came through.
People come here because they want the practice itself, not a certificate, The teachers of Jivan Parivartan
The Jivan Parivartan way
Teaching in Tarkeshwor, Kathmandu since 2021, more than ten thousand sessions, guests from more than eleven countries. Groups stay small, so a real teacher can meet you where you are.
What an attunement actually is
It is a short, quiet ceremony, and it is the part nobody explains, so we will. You sit in a chair with your eyes closed and your hands at your heart. Your teacher moves around you, working with breath and symbols. It takes about fifteen minutes. Nothing is done to your body and nothing is required of you.
Most people find it unremarkable while it happens and noticeable in the days after: sleep shifts, appetite shifts, old feelings surface and pass. That settling is ordinary, and it is the reason we teach one level at a time rather than compressing three into a week.
Where each level takes you
Level 1 is for your own hands. You learn the hand positions, the history, and how to treat yourself daily, along with family, friends, and animals. Most people begin with a 21-day self-practice after the attunement, and this is where the habit is actually built.
Level 2 opens the work outward. You receive three symbols, learn to treat other people properly, and learn to send Reiki at a distance. This is the level to take if you intend to work with anyone beyond your own household.
Master Level is the master symbol and the depth practice behind it. It is taken by people who want the whole of the tradition rather than a title.
You do not need a gift for this
Reiki is not a talent some people are born with. The attunement is what opens it, and it works the same whether you arrive sensitive or sceptical. People who feel very little in the first days are often the ones practising most steadily a year later. Nothing here depends on you having an experience on cue.
What Reiki is not
It is not a religion and asks you to believe nothing. Students here have been Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, and of no faith at all, and nothing in the training sits against any of them.
It is also not a replacement for medical care. We teach Reiki as something you use alongside your doctor, never instead of them. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Level of Reiki Training in Nepal
Reiki is taught in days and trained over months. Your time with us is two to four days: the initiation and supervised practice. The training itself continues at home, in your own hands, for the weeks and months that follow. That is not us stretching a short course; it is how the practice is built, and it has been taught this way since Usui.
Level 1: First Degree
Level 1 puts the practice into your own hands. The initiation is given over a full first day, and after that the work becomes yours: two to three hours of self-practice every day for twenty-one days. Through those twenty-one days you place your hands on yourself only, moving through the positions in turn and letting the energy settle through each centre of the body. You keep to it whether or not anything dramatic happens, because the twenty-one days are what establish the practice. Reiki at this level is contact work, hands resting directly on the body, so it stays simple and physical rather than abstract. At the end of it the practice is set in you, and your hands are ready to work on other people as well: family, friends, and animals. Most students describe the change as steadiness rather than drama. Sleep settles first, and attention follows.
Level 2: Second Degree
Level 2 is taken once Level 1 has been practised for at least three months, and there is no upper limit; you come back when you are ready. The initiation is again a full first day, after which the daily practice continues at two to three hours for three months. At this level the work is no longer bound to touch. You receive the symbols and learn distance practice: sending to someone who is not in the room, not in the city, not in the country. A practitioner in Kathmandu can work with someone in Canada, and distance is simply not treated as an obstacle here. This is the level to take if you intend to work with other people rather than only yourself. Many students also use it quietly for their own focus: in work, in study, and in the decisions that matter to them.
Master Level: Third Degree
Master Level is taken at least nine months after Level 2, and only by those who have kept the practice in the meantime. Many come later than that, after a year or two, and there is no hurry in it. The interval exists because the work needs to have settled in the body before the master initiation is given. The initiation itself is a full day. From the second day the daily practice is one to two hours, lighter than the earlier levels because by then it is habit rather than effort. This is the teaching level: on completing it you are qualified to initiate and teach Reiki yourself. That is why we go slowly here, and why we talk about your practice, not only your calendar, before agreeing a date.
